Geography of Angola
One of the largest country in Africa, bordering with Zambia, Namibia and the Congo countries, Angola is situated on the western Atlantic coast of central Africa. Combined coastal lowlands, hills, mountains and high plateau’s, Angola has a varied terrain. The Atlantic Ocean lies to the west coast of the country. The rock formations of Angola are met with in three distinct regions: the littoral zone, the median zone, and the central plateau. The Zambezi River and several tributaries of the Congo River have their sources in Angola.
